Keith Rafter has been with the VCU Athletic Department since 2001.

As the Associate AD for Sport Operations, he oversees game operations for all home events and serves as director of championships.  Rafter is the liaison with Nike for the department’s all-sport apparel deal and oversees the Equipment Room staff.  In addition, Rafter is the sport administrator for VCU Volleyball.

Rafter joined VCU in 2001 as its Assistant Director of Marketing, Promotions and Group Sales, before being elevated to Assistant Athletic Director of Marketing in 2007.

Prior to his service with the Rams, Rafter spent the 2000-2001 school year at James Madison University, where he was the Assistant Director of Athletic Marketing.

Rafter is a native of Winchester, Va. and attended West Virginia University, where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in sport management in 1996.  In 2000, Rafter added his master’s in sport leadership from VCU.
