Ashley Chiera-Davis joined VCU as the Assistant AD for Compliance in April of 2023.
Prior to VCU, Ashley worked at Liberty University for four years where she served as the Director of Compliance and NIL after being promoted from Assistant Director. She served as the compliance liaison for men’s basketball, men’s soccer, baseball, softball and track and field and maintained a comprehensive rules education program for the athletic department, among other duties. During her time at Liberty, Ashley was also charged with developing and maintaining a name, image, and likeness (NIL) policy and program for all 400+ student-athletes. This included building out a NIL education program and managing multiple NIL platforms.
Chiera-Davis began her career in athletics at the University of South Carolina in the Office of Compliance Services as a Compliance Intern from 2017 until 2019 while pursuing her law degree.
Prior to her time at Liberty and South Carolina, Ashley worked as a Legislative Assistant to a Virginia House of Delegates member from 2011 until 2016, while also serving as his Campaign Manager and Social Media Consultant until 2019.
Chiera-Davis graduated in 2011 from Christopher Newport University with a degree in Political Science; in 2014 from Virginia Commonwealth University with a Master of Public Administration; and in 2019 from the University of South Carolina School of Law.
Ashley was admitted to the South Carolina bar in 2019 and to the Virginia bar in 2021.
