The short story: The Rams fell to Memphis, 4-1, in a neutral match on Saturday afternoon in Murfresboro, Tenn. Sophomore Anna Rasmussen earned the lone point for The Black and Gold by defeating Hanna Sohn in consecutive sets on the second court. Rasmussen and fellow classmate Janina Braun picked up a win in doubles play as well.
- Rasmussen and Braun started off strong in doubles play. The sophomores defeated Gabrielle Paul and Hosephine Cao, 6-1. The duo is now 15-7 overall on the doubles court this season.
- After trailing 1-0, Rasmussen tied the match up at one a piece with a victory on the second court. She is now 14-7 overall in singles play this season.
- With the match tied at 1-1, Memphi's Anki Wind outlasted Braun on the first court, 7-6 (5), 7-5. Despite the loss, Braun holds an impressive 18-7 overall record in singles play.
- Memphis then recorded two consecutive points to put the match out of reach at 4-2.
