Jonny Barrios joined VCU Volleyball as director of operations in the spring of 2023. He is tasked with managing a number of organization aspects of the program including analytical reports, travel arrangements, practice schedules, video coding and other duties.

A Colorado native, Barrios spent the past three years as an undergraduate tech and stat manager for the Colorado State volleyball program, where he primarily utilized VolleyMetrics and DataVolley software to assist player development and scouting reports. He also helped manage summer camps and created content for the program’s social media platforms.

In addition to his Colorado State tenure, Barrios also spent time with the USA Volleyball Women’s National Team in the summer of 2022 as a support analyst and worked as an assistant coach for the NORCO Volleyball Club for two years.

Barrios, who received his undergraduate degree in Health and Exercise Science from Colorado State in 2023, is a member of both the AVCA and USAV, and is fluent in both English and Spanish.
