Hannah Poynor joined VCU as director of operations in March of 2022.
"We are truly excited to have Hannah join our Ram family,” VCU Head Coach Jody Rogers said. “Her contagious hard-working personality will provide us with consistent energy and focus to continue to be successful on and off the court."
Poynor joins the Rams following a two-year stint as a graduate assistant at UT Arlington, where she performed a variety of duties, including analytical reports, travel arrangements, practice schedules and video coding.
Prior to her stint at UT Arlington, Poynor served as a student assistant and manager for Lamar’s Volleyball program from 2016-19. Poynor also boasts four years of club coaching experience with the HCJ Volleyball and Power VBC club programs.
A native Texan, Poynor earned her undergraduate degree in American Sign Language from Lamar in 2020 and received her Master’s in Education Leadership and Policy Studies from UT Arlington in 2021.
