Biography
AROUND THE HORNS:- Lane enters the 2011-12 season with 379 career assists, ranking sixth all-time at VCU. Her 142 assists last year was the seventh-best single-season mark in program history, while her 120 as a sophomore rank as the ninth-most in a season. She had 117 during her freshman campaign.
- Last season, her 94-game start streak ended on Senior Day. Until then, she had started every game since joining the Rams in 2008-09.
- In 2011-12, Lane tied VCU’s single-game record for free throw percentage, going 10-for-10 from the charity stripe at Georgia State on March 12, 2011.
- Lane finished her high school career at Wichita Heights with a 91-9 record during four years, leading the Falcons to two state titles including a national ranking in her senior season. She concluded her prep career with 1,219 points and 635 assists.

2010-11 SEASON (JUNIOR)
- Played in all 31 games with 30 starts, averaging 6.3 points, 3.2 rebounds, 4.6 assists and 1.5 steals per game
- Dished out a team-best 146 assists, while her 4.6 assists per game led the team and ranked third in the Colonial Athletic Association
- Her 94-game start streak came to an end on Feb. 27 on VCU’s Senior Day. Until then, she had started every game since joining the Rams in 2008-09.
- Scored a career-high 14 points with five rebounds and six assists, while setting up Courtney Hurt’s game-winning layup at High Point (11/12/10)
- Collected a career-high 11 assists at Northeastern (2/6/11), the most by a VCU player since 2002 (10 assists)
- Tied VCU’s single-game record for free throw percentage, going 10-for-10 from the charity stripe at Georgia State (3/2/11)
- With back-to-back five-assist outings against Liberty (11/21/10) and Radford (11/23/10), she cracked VCU’s top 10 career list. Lane finished the season with 379 career assists, ranking sixth all-time in program history.
- Scored nine points and tallied a then-career high nine assists at Coppin State (12/8/10)
- Turned in an 11-point, five-rebound, five-assist effort at Virginia Tech (11/21/10) and an 11-point, five-assist outing at James Madison (1/23/11)
- Added nine points, seven assists, five rebounds and a pair of steals in a win against Old Dominion (2/17/11)
- Hauled in a career-high seven rebounds against East Carolina (12/2/10)
2009-10 SEASON (SOPHOMORE)
- Was one of two Rams to start all 35 games, averaging 30.7 minutes and 4.7 points per game
- Led the team with 117 assists (3.3 apg.) and finished second on the squad with 12 blocks and third with 57 steals
- Dished out a career-high tying seven assists in back-to-back games against Morgan State (11/21/09) and East Carolina (12/2/09)
- Tallied six assists against Radford (12/12/09), in the Rams’ Colonial Athletic Association opener against Northeastern (1/3/10) and at Old Dominion (2/7/10)
- Registered a career-best five steals against East Carolina and matched that effort against Northeastern
- Scored 11 points in VCU’s season-opening victory against in-state rival and Atlantic Coast Conference member Virginia Tech
- Went 2-of-2 from the field, including 1-of-1 from behind the arc and 6-for-6 at the free throw line against the Hokies, while collecting three assists, a steal and a rebound
2008-09 SEASON (FRESHMAN)
- Was the only VCU player to start all 33 contests, averaging 5.0 points and 2.5 rebounds per game in her first season with the Rams
- Dished out a team-leading 120 assists, which was the ninth-best single-season output in school history, and finished her rookie campaign with 54 steals
- Registered a game-high five assists against Rutgers in the first round of the NCAA Tournament (3/21/09)
- In a late-season game at Hofstra, scored 12 points and hit 6-of-6 from the free-throw line against the Pride to help VCU keep pace atop the Colonial Athletic Association standings (2/22/09)
- Had a career day in minutes (37), points (12), assists (7), steals (3) and blocks (1) in a home triumph over William & Mary (1/15/09)
- Posted six points, six rebounds and four assists, while limiting the nation’s leading scorer Dawn Evans to 5-of-20 shooting in a key road win at James Madison (1/11/09)
- Tallied 10 points, five assists and four rebounds at Old Dominion in her first CAA contest (1/5/09)
