Kristina Bayton joined VCU in August of 2021. Bayton's role focuses on student-athlete career development, community service efforts and assisting in other day-to-day operations for the program. Prior to VCU, Bayton served as a graduate manager at Nebraska from 2019-21 where she helped organize travel logistics for coaches recruiting efforts as well as coordinate official and unofficial visits. She also helped organize volunteer opportunities for student-athletes and oversaw the team's student staff.
Prior to Nebraska, Bayton served as the Director of Operations at the Univeristy of North Dakota. At UND, she oversaw the team's travel, camp and operations budget in addtion to acting as program liaison to alumni, parents, fans and the school's business office.
Bayton is a graduate of the Univeristy of Maryland where she was a student manager for the women's basketball program for four years. Bayton holds a bachelors degree in kinesologly and business innovation/entreprenuership from Maryland and a master's degree in sports management and public relations from Nebraska.
