DeSorrento enters her second season on the sidelines with the Rams in the 2015-16 season. In her first season with the Black & Gold, DeSorrento helped guide the team to a 16-14 overall record and a 7-9 mark in Atlantic 10 play.
She joined the Rams after spending the previous two seasons at Stony Brook with Coach O'Boyle. During her two seasons on Long Island, the Seawolves made dramatic strides, improving by 10 wins each season, to 24-9 in 2013-14, a season capped by a WNIT bid.
"I am honored to continue working with Kate," said O'Boyle. "She brings a tireless work ethic, a passion for the game, and a strong commitment to mentoring our student-athletes. She is a skilled recruiter who has demonstrated success in developing players to reach their highest potential."
Prior to her Stony Brook tenure, DeSorrento served as head coach at Hamilton College for one season (2011-12). Previously, DeSorrento spent three seasons as an assistant coach and recruiting coordinator at Rochester, where she helped steer the Yellow Jackets to a 68-18 mark and three NCAA Division III Tournament bids. In 2010, Rochester reached the national semifinals.
