McBride joined VCU in May 2022 after most recently serving as a graduate assistant at fellow Atlantic 10 Conference member Duquesne.
In her role, McBride will lead the administrative side of recruiting from scheduling unofficial and official visits to managing a content calendar for recruiting mailers. McBride will also assist in breaking down game film.

Prior to Duquesne, McBride served as an as assistant athletic director with the North Hills School District in Pittsburgh. She also served as the coach of the Western PA Bruins AAU girls' basketball team.

McBride is a 2017 graduate of Indiana University, where she was a two-year starter for the Hoosiers. She helped lead IU to its first NCAA Tournament victory in 33 years with a win over Georgia in 2016. She finished her career ranked fourth all-time in three-point field goals made (157) and attempted (521).

McBride has also served as a color analyst for the ACC Network. A native of Erie, Pa., McBride played high school basketball at Villa Maria Academy. She helped lead Villa Maria to two PIAA State Championships and finished her high school career with 1,279 points. She graduated from Indiana in 2017 with with a bachelor's degree in sports communication and was pursuing a master's degree in business management at Duquesne.
