Erica Snow was promoted to her current role as the VCU Women's Basketball Director of Operations in September of 2020. In her role, Snow coordinates the team budget, travel, gear, practice times and meals among other day-to-day administrative tasks.
Snow, who has been a member of the staff since July of 2018, most recently served as the Director of Student-Athlete Development. In that role, Snow had a focus on student-athlete career development, community service efforts and assisted in other day-to-day operations for the program. She served as a graduated assistant for the Rams in 2018-19 while earning her Master of Sport Leadership degree from VCU's Center for Sport Leadership.
"Erica has been a valuable member of our coaching staff. She brings an immense passion for our student-athletes and their VCU experience. In addition, Erica is highly organized and dedicated to the success of our program," O'Boyle said.
In her prior role as Director of Student-Athlete Development, Snow focused career development, community service efforts and other day-to-day operations for the program. Snow also helped administer the program's "Hoops to Heels" initiative that brings career leaders and speakers in the community to help focus on the student-athlete's transition to life after college and basketball. The program focuses on things such as financial literacy, entrepreneurship, personal brand building and a wide variety of life skills.
Snow came to VCU after spending the 2017-18 season as an assistant coach at Bethany College. While at Bethany, Snow assisted with coaching instruction at practices and games with a focus on overall player development. In addition, she helped prepare opponent scouting reports and assist with video breakdown. She was also accountable for academic growth of players, organized an annual fundraising event and promoted community service projects.
Prior to Bethany College, Snow was a member of the women's basketball team at Montclair State. During her time there, Montclair State reached the 2014-15 Division III Final Four and had three NCAA Division III Tournament appearances. The team also won three NJAC conference championships.
Snow is a 2017 graduate of Montclair State with a bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Arts. She earned her master's degree in 2019 from VCU's Center for Sport Leadership.
