Cody Henry is in his first season as VCUWomen's Basketball's video coordinator. Henry, who has workedwith VCU Head Coach Marlene Stollings since hertime as associate head coach at Ole Miss, joins the Rams afterserving as a graduate assistant coach at Winthrop in 2011-12. In his new role, Henry is responsible for all video aspects of theprogram, including editing, film exchange, and highlights, whilealso coordinating the male practice team, assisting with mail outsand scouting reports, as well as serving as camp liaison.
“I am extremely happy to add Cody Henry to ourstaff,” said Stollings. “He is exceptionallybright and has an incredible drive to succeed. Cody brings atireless work ethic and tremendous skill set for this position. Theentire VCU family will gravitate toward him.”
Henry first joined Stollings’ staff as a male practiceplayer at Ole Miss in 2008. His efforts did not go unnoticedas Stollings invited him to join her very first staff at Winthrop aseason ago, where he played an integral role in all facets of theprogram with an emphasis in video.

Shehas been my mentor for the past few years, taking me from apractice player at Ole Miss, to a graduate assistant at Winthrop,to Video Coordinator at VCU. Henry, who is currently pursuing his Master’s degree atVCU’s Center for Sport Leadership, earned his Bachelor ofBusiness degree in Banking and Finance, Managerial Finance and RealEstate from Ole Miss in May of 2010. In addition to servingas a practice player for the women’s basketball program, hemanaged suite attendants as an intern for the Ole MissSkybox. Henry was recognized with numerous accolades,including Gamma Beta Phi Honors Society, Phi Kappa Phi HonorsSociety as well as being named to the Chancellor’s Honor Rolland the Dean’s Honor Roll during his time in Oxford,Miss.
Prior to his arrival at Ole Miss, Henry played basketball forOtero Junior College in La Junta, Colo. He graduated MagnaCum Laude from Otero in May 2008 with an Associates Degree inScience, while earning Academic All-America status as well asAcademic All-Region honors that same year.
As a prep player, Henry was named the Denver PostPlayer of the Year while leading his high school team to a statechampionship his senior season. Henry was selected the MVP ofthe state tournament. He was also named his high schoolValedictorian.
The Joes, Colo., native has also volunteered for the OxfordLafayette Humane Society, Boys and Girls Club and High PlainsElementary.
