CATLETT SECURES A FOURTH PLACE FINISH AT THE 46TH ANNUAL PAUL SHORT RUN

Location: Bethlehem, Pa. (LeHigh Cross Country Course)

Distance: 8k

Team Scoring: 1-New Hampshire 114, 2-So. Conn. St. 223, 3-Binghamton 234… 22-Elizabethtown 558, 23-VCU 563, 24-Quinnipiac 571

The short story: Senior Bryce Catlett finishes 4th out of 390 runners to lead VCU. Noah Peterson, Sean Moulton and Hisham Vohra set personal records. 

THE FINISH LINE

  • Two runners placed in the top-50 and two others placed in the top-200. 

  • Catlett made an impressive 4th place finish with a time of 24.51.4, just 25 seconds short of the lead time. The senior improved on his time of 25:34.0 from last year's invitational. 

  • Sophomore Hisham Vohra had a strong performance, placing 2nd for the Rams and 33rd overall. He finished with a time of 25:11.9 and set a new personal record in the 8k.

  • Junior Lucas Sidle achieved a top-200 finish with a time of 26:02.5.

  • Sean Moulton finished in the top-200 and set a new personal best of 26:17.7. The sophomore beat his previous time by 48 seconds. 

  • Freshman Noah Peterson set a personal record of 26:23.2.

  • Archie Blaes and Evan Leach rounded the meet out for the Rams. The two sophomores finished with times of 27:34.0 and 27:48.3 respectively. 

  • The Rams finished 23rd out of 45 teams with an average time of 2:08:47.

"Overall we did a great job. Everyone is continuing to progress in a positive direction and push through the obstacles that have been thrown at us. They maintained composure and competed well in a big meet today. The team is very excited and motivated as they prepare for the conference and regional meets."
