RICHMOND, Va. —The National Soccer Coaches Association of America has named freshman defender Juan Monge Solano and sophomore forward Jason Johnson to its 2011 Men's Division I All-South Atlantic Region squads.

Monge Solano was named to the second team after an impressive first season with the Black & Gold. The San Jose, Costa Rica, native helped the VCU defense post a 1.17 goals-against average and earned six shutouts. Monge Solano also chipped in on the offensive side of the ball, with 11 points on five goals and one assist.
