RICHMOND, Va. – VCU freshman forward Daniel Haehre was named Colonial Athletic Association Men's Soccer Rookie of the Week on Monday after scoring the game-winning goal in the team's 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Towson on Sunday night.

Haehre notched the goal in the 103rd minute of play to hand the Rams their 10th victory of the 2011 campaign. Following a blocked shot on sophomore midfielder Nate Shiffman's attempt, Haehre one-timed a shot into the left side of the goal. It was a big week for the Norwegian, as he earned his first collegiate start against High Point and followed that up with a start against Towson.

The Rams have just two regular season matches left on the docket, with both games being played inside the friendly confines of Sports Backers Stadium. VCU hosts Georgia State this Wednesday (November 2), before playing host to Delaware on Saturday night (November 5). Both games are scheduled for 7 p.m.

VCU and Georgia State are currently tied for sixth place in the CAA, as both teams boast records of 5-4 in conference play.
