While at VCU
Wasting No Time: Gwynn jumped right out of the gates in 2008-09, knocking down his first 14 shots of the year, including a perfect 8-for-8 night in VCU’s season-opening 82-59 victory over the Citadel (Nov. 16).
Battling Back: After suffering a foot injury that kept him out for nearly two months and missing 14 games, Gwynn bounced back to average nearly six points a game over the final 10 contests of last year. Included in that span was a 4-for-5 performance with eight points in the NCAA Tournament against UCLA.

Lone Man Standing: Gwynn is the only player on the roster left from the 2006-2007 squad that toppled perennial power Duke, 79-77, in the first round of the NCAA Tournament. He now has two NCAA Tournament appearances in three seasons at VCU.
Valuable Learning Experience: After redshirting in 2005-06, Gwynn blasted onto the scene in 2006-07, shooting nearly 57% and averaging 4.8 points per game to earn CAA All-Rookie accolades.
