WHILE AT VCU:
· Named Southwest Regional Most OutstandingPlayer after averaging 17.5 ppg, 6.7 rebounds and connecting on 11three-pointers during VCU's run to the Final Four
· Posted career-highs in every statistical category during hissenior year and finished in the top-10 in the CAA in scoring,rebounding, field-goal percentage and blocked shots.
· In his 67 games at VCU, he tallied 44 double-digit scoringperformances, including 12 straight to end the 2010-11campaign.
· Posted eight double-doubles during senior year, including anoutstanding 26 points and 10 rebounds against top-ranked Kansas inthe Southwest Regional Final
· Scored over 800 points and grabbed nearly 300 rebounds inless than two full seasons the Rams (had to sit out first semesterof 2009-10 due to NCAA transfer rules)
WHILE AT WAKE FOREST:
· Skeen didn’t waste time winning a spot in the DemonDeacons starting lineup, earning a starting nod on 24 occasions asa freshman
· The inside-outside ability of Skeen is what separates himfrom the pack and he displayed it for Wake Forest. Nearly half (58of 128) of his field goals came from beyond the arc
· Skeen ranked in the top-three in rebounding on the DemonDeacons during both of his years. As a freshman, he led the team inrebounding on eight occasions.
· VCU’s 79-77 upset victory over Duke in the 2007 NCAATournament is a moment that will forever live in the hearts of Ramfans. Skeen knows how it feels to upset the Blue Devils as well. Hechipped in 10 points and nine rebounds in Wake’s 86-73victory over then-No.2 Duke on Feb. 17, 2008.
PRIOR TO COLLEGE:
· Coming out of North Mecklenburg, Skeen was as highly toutedas they come with a top-85 national ranking from three differentscouting services (42nd by Bob Gibbons, 75th by Scout.com and 85thby Rivals.com).
· Skeen was named “Mr. Basketball” for the stateof North Carolina after an outstanding junior season, averaging20.1 points, 11.1 rebounds and 2.9 assists per game.
· He was a household name in North Carolina, earningFirst-Team All-State honors during his junior and seniorseasons.
· His final two years at North Mecklenburg were memorableones as Skeen led the Vikings to the 2005 4A State Championship andcame within two points of capturing a second-straight title in2006.
