AS A JUNIOR (2011-12):

The Basics:
· First year as starting point guard for theRams (started all 36 games).
· Played second most minutes on the team(1,124).
· Scored in double-figures 15 times, dishedout six or more assists 14 times.

Highlights:

Earned CAA Tournament Most Outstanding PlayerAward with 26 points, 15 assists and 11 steals in three games.Scored 16 points, handed out five assists and picked up five stealsin the CAA Championship game victory over Drexel.
·
Garnered Third Team All-CAA honors following theregular season after averaging 8.6 ppg., 2.2 rpg., and 4.7apg.
·
Set his career high for points when he poured in16 against Drexel in the CAA title game on March 5.
· Ranked third in the CAA in assist per gamewith 4.7 and second in assist-to-turnover ratio
· Tied his career high of five steals on twooccasions, first against Drexel on March 5, and then again againstIndiana on March 17.

AS A SOPHOMORE (2010-11):

The Basics:
· Saw action in all 40 games, includingseven starts  
· Posted his second straight of season of abetter than 1-to-1 assist to turnover ratio.
· He doubled his free throw attempts fromhis freshman to sophomore year.

Highlights:
· Tied his career high of 10 pointsat Georgia State. Went a perfect 8-8 from the charity stripe in thegame.
·
Set a then-career high with seven assists againstUNC Wilmington. Also dished out six assists on two occasions, firstagainst VMI, then against William & Mary. 
·
Had five steals against William & Mary to seta new career high.

AS A FRESHMAN (2009-10):

The Basics:
· Played in 35 of the Rams’ 36contests as a rookie, making one start.
· Averaged 2.7 points and 1.1 assists pergame.

Highlights:
· Was the only freshman guard in the CAA tofinish with a 1-to-1 assist-to-turnover ratio (39-35).
· Over the final half of the season heaveraged better than a 1.5-to-1 ratio.
· Had a 10-3 assist-to-turnover ratio in theCBI Tournament, helping the Rams to the title.
· Scored in double figures on two occasions,first against Georgia State and then against Akron.
· Dished out a season high five assistsagainst Towson.

PRIOR TO VCU:

· Averaged 17.2 points, 6.2 assists, 5.5rebounds and 3.5 steals per game over his final two high schoolseasons.
· Earned All-Tidewater Region Team honorsduring his junior and senior campaigns.
· Theus was the first official VCU signeefor Head Coach Shaka Smart and his staff.
· He was touted as one of the best on-balldefenders in the state, with great anticipation skills.
· As the starting point guard for theGreyhounds, Theus was looked upon as the leader of the squad bothon and off the court, and served as team captain for his final twoyears.
· Before Theus landed with the Black &Gold, he was being heavily-recruited by Pac-12 power WashingtonState, Liberty, Duquesne and East Carolina, among others.
