Head Coach Shaka Smart did not have to look far to fill the roleof video coordinator on his coaching staff for the upcoming 2011-12campaign.
Smart announced the hiring of Donny Lind, a graduate managerwith last year's Final Four team, to fill the role for the Black& Gold.
"We're very excited about adding Donny as a full-time member ofour staff," Smart said. "He's an extremely hard worker whopossesses a great mind for the game."
Lind, who is working on finishing up his Master's Degree throughVCU's Center for Sport Leadership, came to VCU after earning hisBachelor's Degree in Economics from Loyola University Maryland in2010.
The New Knoxville, Ohio native spent the 2010-11 season as theright-hand man to Video Coordinator Matt Fleming, who is nowserving in the same role at DePaul University.
During Lind's time at Loyola, he served as a student manager forthe men's basketball team. His final two years with the Greyhounds,he spent in the Video Coordinator role for the program.
Lind currently resides in Richmond with his wife, Ciara, andnewborn daughter, Magnolia Grace.
