RICHMOND, Va. – Mike Rhoades' coaching acumen is well known. His cooking chops? We'll find out on Thursday, April 27 when Rhoades takes on Richmond Head Coach Chris Mooney in the Fifth Annual Coaches' Cook-Off at the Science Museum of Richmond.
Rhoades, who returned to VCU to lead the men's basketball program in March, will team with chef Lee Gregory in the cooking competition, which benefits Positive Vibe Café, a non-profit organization which trains and employs adults with disabilities.
Tickets are $100 each or $150 for two and are available at the Positive Vibe Café (2825 Hathaway Rd.) or online at positiveviberva.com.
Rhoades' opponent, Mooney, will be paired with Caleb Shriver and Philip Perrow of Dutch & Co.
The Coaches Cook-Off is scheduled to begin at 6 p.m. and will feature live music from the Cary Street Ramblers, as well as live and silent auctions.
