BROOKLYN, N.Y. – According to the Atlantic 10 coaches and select media members, there is one clear favorite in the league that has produced 11 NCAA Tournament bids over the past two years.

That favorite is VCU, who was a unanimous selection atop the Atlantic 10 Preseason Poll, announced at the league's annual media day at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, N.Y.

George Washington was second behind the Black & Gold, followed by Dayton, UMass and Richmond to round out the top five.

The Rams were the only team with two preseason first-team selection with seniors Treveon Graham and Briante Weber both earning spots among the top six players in the league. Weber was also named to the preseason all-defensive squad.

Graham enters his senior year as the Atlantic 10 Preseason Player of the Year by many national publications, as well as an Preseason All-American honor by Blue Ribbon Magazine. The Temple Hills, Md. native led the Rams in scoring last season with 15.8 points per game, while also ranking second on the squad with 7.0 rebounds per night.

He scored in double-figures in 32 of VCU's 35 games and needs 605 points to become the program's all-time leading scorer.

Weber is the two-time defending Atlantic 10 Defensive Player of the Year and needs just 90 steals to pass the NCAA all-time steals mark of 385.

In his first year as the full-time starting point guard for the Rams, Weber averaged 9.4 points, 4.1 rebounds, 3.9 assists and 3.5 steals per game. He posted an assist-to-turnover ratio of 2.1-to-1.

The Rams open up their 2014-15 slate on November 14 in the Veterans Classic in Annapolis, Md. VCU will take on Tennessee on CBS Sports Network with tip-off set for 6:30 p.m.
