  • VCU placed 10th at the Tiger Invitational among a loaded field that included top-50 squad host-Auburn, Kennesaw State and Memphis. The Rams were consistent throughout the tournament, scoring 298-300-299 in consecutive rounds.
  • Auburn captured the team crown on its home course by shooting 22-under during the 54-hole tournament. Kennesaw State (-3) was second, followed by Mississippi State (+9) and Memphis (+11).
  • Senior Matt Ball Jr. (+7) led VCU with a 28th-place finish. Ball shot 73-72 during Monday's opening two rounds and was tied for 12th heading into the final day. But Ball lost some ground on the leaders with a 78 Tuesday.
  • Sophomores Adam Ball and Steffen Harm (+10) tied for 39th for VCU.
  • Freshman Enej Sarkanj finished strong by firing the lowest VCU round of the week, a 2-under 70 during Tuesday's final round. Sarkanj booked six birdies Tuesday, including three in his final five holes of the day.
  • Tomasz Anderson of Jacksonville State (-10) claimed a one-stroke individual victory over Chad Ramey of Mississippi State.
VCU will continue its spring break road trip by heading to the Mission Inn Classic March 14-15 in Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla.
