Fresh off an outstanding collegiate career, Sarah Blythe-Woodwill serve as a volunteer assistant coach on Kelly McQuade’sstaff for the 2010 season.

In four seasons, Blythe-Wood stamped her name into Universityof Richmond field hockey lore. An exemplary back line player,Blythe-Wood became just the third Spider in school history togarner All-American honors when she was named an NFHCA Third TeamAll-American in 2009. She was also selected Second Team All-Americaby WomensFieldHockey.com and First Team All-South Regionby Longstretch following last season.

In 70 career matches, Blythe-Wood racked up 36 goals, 19 assistsand 91 points. She was credited with nine career game-winning goalsand a pair of successful penalty strokes. Blythe-Wood ranks fifthin school history in points and sixth in goals.
 
Blythe-Wood was simply spectacular as a senior, blasting 22 goalswhile handing out 11 assists. She finished the year ranked18th nationally in points per game (2.35) and19th in goals per game (0.96). Only two Spiders inprogram history scored more goals in a single season thanBlythe-Wood in 2009. She set a Richmond single-game mark with fivegoals against Saint Louis on Oct. 9, 2009.
 
Additionally, Blythe-Wood was named All-Atlantic 10 First Teamtwice and second team once, as well as A-10 All-Academic Team as asenior.
 
A native of Harare, Zimbabwe, Blythe-Wood graduated from Richmondin 2010 with a degree in international studies with a focus onworld politics and diplomacy.
