WILLIAMSBURG, Va. – VCU Field Hockey junior midfielder Maite Sturm has been named to the VaSID All-State Second Team for the second consecutive season. 

Sturm, a native of Waltrop, Germany, led the Rams with 19 total points after scoring a team-high seven goals and adding five assists. She was named to the NFHCA All-South Region Second Team in addition to being an All-Atlantic 10 First Team selection this season.Sturm was also named NFHCA Division I National Academic Squad for her efforts in the classroom.

The VaSID All-State teams are voted on by athletics media relations professionals across 49 of Virginia's colleges and universities as well as three athletics conferences.
