RICHMOND, Va. – The VCU Rams have been well represented on baseball diamonds across the country this summer, turning out plenty of solid numbers. Let's take a look at where the boys in Black and Gold are at this summer:

Luke Crabb, RHP, Valley Blue Sox (NECBL) – Although only having one season in Richmond, Crabb was a heavily leaned on arm over the final weeks of the 2016 season. So far, his summer performance will put him as a first-option guy in 2017, having appeared in 10 games for the Valley Blue Sox in the New England Collegiate Baseball League. He has only given up one run in 15 innings of work, equaling out to a 0.60 ERA.

Sam Donko, RHP, Valley Blue Sox (NECBL) – The NCAA leader in saves this past season, the Youngstown, Ohio native has contiLuke Crabbights-out motto this summer next to teammate Luke Crabb for the Valley Blue Sox. The upcoming senior has appeared in six games, recording a 1-0 record with three saves. However, his most impressive statistic to date is a 0.00 ERA, as he has not yet given up a single run yet this summer. The pair of Donko and Crabb have the two lowest ERA's on the squad.

Logan Farrar, OF, Bethesda Big Train (CRCBL) – After beginning his summer as a temp player for the Cape Cod League's Harwich Mariners, Farrar found his place right back where he has starred for the past few summers. He represented the South Division in the CRCBL All-Star Game, recording a 1-for-2 effort in the game with an RBI double.

Darian Carpenter, 1B/DH, Peninsula Pilots (CPL) – Carpenter had himself a fine junior season for the Rams in 2016, and has continued his excellence at the plate over the summer. He currently stands with a .312 batting average in 26 games, with seven doubles, a triple, three home runs, and 22 RBI. He has also scored 24 times, and holds a slugging percentage of .505. He has even showed some speed on the base paths, going 3-for-4 in stolen base attempts.

A member of the Strasburg Express of the Valley Baseball League, Lamb has hit a solid .301 with two doubles, five RBI, and 22 runs scored. He represented the North Division of the league in the VBBL All-Star Game along with teammate Ben Dum.
