GENERAL

  • Slick fielding infielder that can play all four spots
  • Steady right handed bat that should only improve with time

WHILE WITH THE RAMS

2016/JUNIOR

  • Appeared in 57 games (all starts), batting .321 on the season.
  • Led the team in batting average (.321), RBI (35), hits (76), and total bases (105).
  • Was top five on the team in slugging percentage (.443), on base percentage (.385), runs scored (38), doubles (9), triples (1), and home runs (6).
  • Recorded a team-best 14 game hitting streak.
  • Had a team-best 22 multi-hit games, including five games with three or more hits.
  • Went 2-for-4 with four RBI and a home run in the Atlantic 10 Championship against George Washington (5/26)
  • Went 3-for-5 with two RBI and a homerun at Presbyterian (5/14).

2015/SOPHOMORE

  • Went 5-for-5 with three RBI and a home run at Davidson (5/20).

2014/FRESHMAN

  • Named to the Atlantic 10 All-Tournament team. That weekend Davis went 5-for-16, with three RBI and four doubles.
  • Earned Atlantic 10 Newcomer of the Week after his first weekend as a Ram (Feb. 17).
  • In just his second college game Davis went 4-for-4, with two doubles, in VCU's 6-3 win over Old Dominion on Feb. 15.
  • Posted his first three-RBI day in the Rams 17-5 win over St. Bonaventure on March 22. Davis finished that day 3-for-5, with a double and three runs scored.
  • Davis belted his first home run as a pinch hitter on the road against Richmond April 13. The blast was a three-run shot over the left field wall.
  • Logged the second most doubles on the team (14) behind only senior Bill Cullen (18).

PRIOR TO VCU

  • Played varsity baseball for three seasons at Cumberland Valley High School in Mechanicsburg, Pa.
  • Helped the Eagles to Mid-Penn Conference-Commonwealth Division Championships in his sophomore and junior years.
  • Named first-team Big 11 and All-Sentinel after his junior and senior seasons at Cumberland Valley.
  • Selected as the Mid-Pen Conference-Commonwealth Division Co-MVP for his performance during his junior campaign.
  • Named team captain for his senior season at Cumberland Valley.
  • Tabbed second-team All-State by the Pennsylvania High School Coaches Association (PHSBCA) his senior season.
  • Earned the Brunner/Pierce Memorial Award, given to an outstanding student athlete.
