Tyler Oshima joined the VCU Baseball staff as a graduate assistant in 2025-26, pursuing his master’s degree through VCU’s Center for Sport Leadership.
A native of Bellevue, Washington, Oshima attended New York University, where he graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor’s of Science in Sport Management and a minor in Social and Cultural Analysis.
While at NYU, Oshima competed in the Society for American Baseball Research’s 2025 Diamond Dollars Case Competition. His group was selected as one of four winning teams, marking the first NYU team in nine years to win their room and place as finalists.
Oshima aspires to work in player development and data analytics for a MLB organization.
