2018/SOPHOMORE (UMASS)

• Tallied nine appearances on the hill with eight starts, striking out 35 batters over 36.1 innings
• Picked up the win in relief against Central Conneticut, tossing four no-hit innings while walking just one and striking out four
• Threw eight innings en route to a win at Richmond, striking out five and walking five while allowing just one run on two hits

2017/SOPHOMORE (UMASS)

• Made eight appearances getting the start in all eight, pitching 42 innings and finished with a 3.86 ERA
• Pitched seven innings at Morehead State, totaling nine strikouts
• Made his first collegiate start at Elon, pitching six innings and striking out 10 batters

PRIOR TO COLLEGE:

• Named to the First All-Section Team three times (2014-2016), All-Metroland First Team twice (2014, 2016) and Third Team once (2015)
• Lead team to win Section II Title as a junior at The Albany Academy in 2015 
• Won the conference regular season two years straight during in 2015 and 2016
• Named to the All-New York State Team for three consecutive years (2014-2016)
• Set school record for lowest ERA in school history (.63), most wins, and most strikeouts pitched
• Had a .397 batting average as a senior and went 8-1 as a pitcher with a .66 ERA and 57 strikeouts.

PERSONAL:

• Son of Larry Knapek and Lisa Marrello
• Twin brother, Carter, plays baseball for VCU
• Father, Larry, played baseball and basketball at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts
• Majors in Political Science and plans to attend law school post-graduation
