VCU Students/Rowdy Rams Ticketing Information
VCU students receive free admission to all home Athletics events with proof of student ID. For all sports except Men’s Basketball, students do not need to claim a ticket in advance and may show their ID at the gate.
Men's Basketball Ticketing Information
All VCU Students have the opportunity to attend VCU Men’s Basketball home games for
FREE! While only full time VCU students are eligible to claim a ticket through the online system, part time students may still attend games via the student standby line. Full time students must claim Men’s Basketball tickets in advance by following the steps below.
How to Claim a Ticket
Activating Your Account/ Claiming a Ticket for the First Time
- Click here to activate your student ticket account for the first time.
- Enter your VCU student email address.
- Follow prompts to finish creating your account.
- A list of available student ticket claims will appear.
- Select your desired game and click checkout.
Claiming a Ticket for Returning Users
- Click here to log into your student ticket account.
- A list of available student claims will appear.
- Select your desired game and click checkout.

Claims Process
- Students will receive an email confirming the claimed ticket. Please note: claiming a ticket does not guarantee that you will be awarded a ticket.
- Students who are awarded claimed tickets will receive a game ticket via email prior to the game.
Claims Calendar
- The claim period will open approximately 10 days prior to the game and will close seven (7) hours before tip off, unless student tickets are sold out sooner.

Entering the Game
- Tickets must be presented on your mobile device to enter the game. Students must also present their student ID at the gate to confirm their student status.
- The student entrance is located on the east end of the Siegel Center.
- Student seating is general admission.
Student Standby Line
If you are not awarded a student ticket or if you are a part time student, a student standby line is available at the student entrance for each home game. Students who wait in the standby line are not guaranteed admission to the event and will be admitted ONLY if seats are available in the student section.
Student Guest Tickets
Students will be able to purchase additional tickets for guest(s) for
select games. Student guest tickets, when they are available to purchase, can be found under ‘Student Tickets’ on the VCU Athletics ticket website. The maximum number of guest tickets students are allowed to purchase may vary per game.
What to Do if You Can't Attend
Students who are awarded tickets are expected to attend the game! If a student can no longer attend the game, they have the following options:
- Transfer the ticket- Students have the ability to transfer their ticket to another student. Student tickets cannot be transferred to non-students.
- Return the ticket- Students may return their ticket prior to the game by emailing tickets@vcu.edu or by calling the VCU Ticket Office at (804) 828-RAMS.
Please note: Students who claim tickets and no-show to multiple games will risk losing their privilege to receive student tickets.
