RICHMOND, Va. - VCU Men's Tennis sophomore
Erwann Bouchet was named Atlantic 10 Player of the Week on Tuesday following his performance against No. 60 Liberty this past weekend.
Bouchet began the day by teaming up with
Gevorg Mnatsakanyan for a swift 6-3 win on Court 1. He later earned VCU's lone point of the match with a three-set victory on Court 1, defeating Siwanat Auytayakul 4-6, 6-2, 6-1. After dropping the opening set, he responded in dominant fashion, allowing just three games the rest of the way to secure the win.
This season, Bouchet has been a force at the top of the lineup, posting a 9-7 record in both singles and doubles, primarily competing on Court 1. Last season, Bouchet earned Atlantic 10 Second Team honors and was named an ITA Scholar-Athlete.
