THE SHORT STORY
VCU women's soccer was unable to stage a comeback against Saint Joseph's on Saturday as the Hawks remained unbeaten in the Atlantic 10 with a 2-1 win over the Rams.
Jazmin Jackson scored the lone goal for the Rams on a corner kick from
Jensyn Lins.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- Pongratz opened the game with her first save in just the second minute, setting the tone for her seven-save performance
- The Hawks took their lead late in the opening half, scoring in the 37th and 44th minutes, to enter the break with a 2-0 advantage over the Rams
- Converting on a corner kick in the 52nd minute, Lins sent her ball-in to the back post and Jackson finished with a header to get VCU on the board
- SJU squashed the Rams' late attack to hold onto its 2-1 lead for the win
