VCU men's soccer battled to a scoreless draw with Dayton in its Atlantic 10 conference opener. The Rams secured their second shutout in as many games, but with a 43
rd minute goal by
Lucas White called back after review, VCU was held to the 0-0 draw on Sunday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The early minutes were a battle for possession, but D. Hayes rattled off a pair of attempts and Nikita Hayes rocketed a shot off a Dayton defender in the 14th minute
- With just two minutes remaining in the half, White got his boot on a deflected cross, rocketing the game's lone goal into the back of the net, but offsides was called on the field following a VAR review
- Musabbah was issued a red card in the 81st minute, VCU played the final 10 minutes one man down
- In the 89th minute, Maloney made a baffling diving stop to keep the scoreless game intact, leading the Rams to their second shutout of the season
