The short story:Â Madison Griffin shined in the javelin and
Gudrun Hallgrimsdottir won the hammer to lead the Rams in their trip down to Florida.
Â
THROWS
- Griffin claimed first in the javelin with a top throw of 43.61 meters. She holds the second-best mark in program history with a personal record of 46.07 meters
- Hallgrimsdottir secured another first-place finish in the hammer with a distance of 67.56 meters. She currently owns the top mark in the Atlantic 10 and the third best in the NCAA
- Sophomore Blanca Pereira earned third in the hammer with a top mark of 58.65 meters
- Eryn Byrd used a top throw of 14.79 meters to earn fourth in the shot put as the lone Ram competing in the eventÂ
HURDLES
- Indira O'Neil clocked a new personal best time of 14.23 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles. Her previous best mark of 14.79 seconds was recorded at this season's UCF Black and Gold Invitational. O'Neil also recorded a new personal best time of 1:05.04 in the 400-meter hurdles
- Sophomore Myzhane Solomon finished shortly behind O'Neil, clocking a time of 14.53 seconds, just shy of her personal best mark of 14.33 seconds she notched a last season's A-10 Championships
- Tori Lewis notched a new personal best time of 1:03.93 in the 400 hurdles as well
SPRINTS
- Asia Powell clocked a personal best time of 11.46 seconds to finish fifth and as the top Ram in the 100-meter dash. Powell's previous personal best time of 11.50 seconds was recorded at the 2023 Raleigh Relays
- Graduate Lauryn Taylor finished shortly behind Powell in the 100, recording a time of 11.57 seconds to finish 11th. Mabel Alagbe recorded a time of 11.90 seconds in the event as well
- In the 200-meter dash, Taylor tied her personal best time of 23.83 seconds en route to a 10th-place finishÂ
JUMPS
- Senior Sydney Carr set a new personal best in the triple jump with a mark of 12.49 meters en route to a seventh-place placement. Carr's previous best distance of 12.41 meters was recorded at this season's Raleigh Relays

The Rams will next head to Charlottesville, Va. for an in-state meet at the Virginia Challenge, taking place Friday and Saturday, April 18–19.Â
