• Charlotte took the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. The Rams took the doubles match on court one with the pairing of German Samofalov and Kostiantyn Mantach
• VCU got off to a quick start in singles with wins on court five by Kostiantyn Mantach and on court six by Gevorg Mnatsakanyan to take a 2-1 lead
• After Charlotte took a 3-2 lead with wins on courts two and four, German Samofalov would take the match on court one to tie the dual match at 3-3, leaving the match on court three.
