RAMS COMEBACK FALLS SHORT IN MATCHUP AGAINST FORDHAM

The Short Story: Despite a hot start to singles, VCU Women's Tennis was unable to overcome conference foe Fordham on Saturday afternoon as they fell 4-2

Opening Serve
VCU dropped a competitive doubles point as Fordham took it with wins on courts two and three.
After dropping the doubles point, the Black and Gold got off to a hot start in singles with Mariam Ibrahim getting the Rams on the board with a 6-0, 6-3 win on court three
Sofia Jane Thorne would continue the Rams hot start with a 6-2, 6-3 win on court two, which gave the Rams a 2-1 lead in the dual match
Fordham would respond with three straight wins on courts one, four, and five to win the match.
In the lone unfinished match, Yelizaveta Karlova forced a third set and was up 1-0 on court six.
