WOMEN'S TENNIS DROPS MATCH TO NO. 58 ETSU

The Short Story: After dropping the doubles point, the Rams were unable to build momentum off winning the first two singles matches, as they fell to No. 58 ETSU on Sunday, 4-3.

Opening Serve

  • In doubles action, the pairing of Tania Isabel Andrade Sabando and Mariam Ibrahim beat the No. 70 paring in the country on court one, 6-4, but ETSU would capture the doubles point with wins on courts two and three. 
  • The Rams scored two quick points, with sophomore Mariam Ibrahim winning her singles match on court two 6-3, 6-1, and Sofia Jane Thorne winning her match on court three 6-4, 6-1 to make the dual match 2-1
  • ETSU would go on to clinch the dual match with wins on courts one, four, and five.
  • After the match was clinched, Lea Malazdra would win her match on court six, 6-0, 2-6, 7-6 (7-4)
