Meet: George Mason Patriot Games

The short story: Sydney Carr shone for the Rams in a limited field this weekend at the George Mason Patriot Games.
JUMPS
- In the Triple Jump, Carr set a new personal best distance of 11.83 meters, besting her previous record of 11.81m set at the 2023 Atlantic 10 Indoor Championships. The senior's mark earned her first place in the event
- Fellow Rams Damilola Ogbeta and Megan Bozarth earned third and fourth in the triple jump, respectively, as well
- Abigail Lothian earned sixth place in the long jump, her best finish in the event this season
DISTANCE
- Redshirt sophomore Nia Warren finished as the top Ram in the 1 mile, placing fourth with a mark of 5:08.68. This time is roughly two seconds shy of Warren's personal record in the event of which she set at the 2024 Brant Tolsma Invitational
- Freshman Madelyn Anderson finished shortly after Warren in the 1 mile, earning 11th place out of 30 entries. Anderson also placed ninth in the 1000-meter race, turning in a time of 3:05.78, good for the best time by the Black and Gold and just shy of her personal best
SPRINTS
- Lothian also earned the best time for the Rams in the 60-meter dash, as her time placed her fourth in an event that consisted of 38 entries
