Alicja Jaryszek led three Rams in double figure kills with 16 in a 3-2 loss at George Washington Saturday in the Nation's Capital.

OPENING VOLLEY
- Jaryszek also added a pair of aces and two blocks for VCU
- Senior Kalina Pylinska and sophomore Letizia Galli each contributed 13 kills for the Black and Gold. Pylinska also chipped in 13 digs and four blocks, including three solos, while Galli hit .409
- On the back line, graduate libero Haruka Sugimoto logged 27 digs for VCU
- Cayla Cogan led all players with 18 kills for the Revolutionaries
THE DIFFERENCE
- George Washington disrupted VCU at the net. The Revs recorded 18 blocks and limited the Rams to a .176 hitting percentage. GW hit .224
- The fifth-set tiebreaker featured seven ties and four lead changes in the first 15 points. But George Washington rattled off five straight points, including back-to-back kills by Cianna Tejada, to take a 12-7 lead. The Rams rallied to within 12-11 on a kill by Jaryszek, but GW responded with kills by Cogan and Sydney Hasenfratz to polish off a 15-11 triumph
- VCU hit .027 in the second and third sets combined, as George Washington erased a 1-0 deficit in the match with 25-16 and 25-21 wins
