THE SHORT STORY
VCU women's soccer clinched its fifth consecutive Atlantic 10 Championship berth with its most goals scored this season in a commanding 4-1 victory over Davidson in the regular season finale.

PITCH SIDE
- Four different Rams scored in the contest, with goals from Y-Van Nguyen, Ishpreen Marwah, Isabelle Franklin and Keira McCloskey
- McCloskey tallied three points with a goal and assist
- Franklin tied Jensyn Lins' team-leading three goals, and Lins tied Franklin's team-leading five assists
- VCU outshot Davidson 18-14 with 12 shots on goal to the Wildcats' five
- Chloe Limbach, Ava Pustover, Nguyen, Kendyl Sarver, Emma Bennett, Jordyn Hall, Keira Connolly, Lilly Heit and Stella Castro were honored on senior day
- Bennett made her season debut, playing 32 minutes

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Rams opened the scoring in the 19th minute when Nguyen recovered a clearing attempt by Davidson and looped it into the low corner for a 1-0 advantage
- Just three minutes later, Marwah doubled VCU's lead on the follow-through from Jensyn Lins' header to put the Rams ahead 2-0
- In the 36th minute, on a feed from McCloskey, Franklin launched an absolute rocket over the head of Davidson goalkeeper Grace Stair from about 25 yards out for a 3-0 lead that held into the half
- McCloskey added the final strike for the Rams from the arc in the 66th minute
- In the 75th minute, Davidson spoiled the Rams' clean sheet with their lone goal, but VCU held onto its three-goal lead for the victory
- VCU clinched its bid to the Atlantic 10 Championship with the win, 4-1
