The Short Story:Â VCU took advantage of a back-and-forth second quarter with VCU scoring twice and Lehigh scoring once in a 3:03 span to build a 2-1 halftime lead. The Rams then added an early third quarter goal from
Morena Macera and held off the Mountain Hawks.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Behrmann scored the game's first goal in 21st minute on an assist from Ventimiglia to give VCU a 1-0 lead
- Lehigh tied the game less than three minutes later as Mes scored in the 24th minute
- The Rams took the lead back just 43 seconds later as Macera scored to put VCU up 2-1 at halftime
- VCU increased its lead to 3-1 in the 33rd minute as Macera scored just out of halftime off a penalty corner. Behrmann and Ventimiglia both assisted on the goal
- Lehigh got within 3-2 in the 54th minute on a goal from Kells but the Rams held off the comeback attempt
