HOW IT HAPPENED:
- VCU took control of the game early and outshot Lock Haven 6-1 in the first quarter but the game remained deadlocked at 0-0
- The Rams turned up the pressure in the second quarter and outshoot the Bald Eagles 11-0 but were still unable to find the back of the net
- Macera finally opened the scoring in the 35th minute with a penalty stroke goal
- The Rams made it 2-0 in the 41st minute as Macera scored off a penalty corner with assists from Ventimiglia and Radel
- Ventimiglia then got on the score sheet shortly following a penalty corner by firing a shot just inside the shooting circle past the goalkeeper in the 49th minute
- Secondo made it 4-0 with just 31 seconds remaining in the contest after collecting a turnover and firing a backhanded shot
