VCU TO PLAY IN 2024 SHRINERS CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL CHARLESTON CLASSIC

RICHMOND, Va. – VCU will face off against an outstanding field that includes recent Final Four participants Miami and Florida Atlantic, as well as 2024 NIT Champion Seton Hall, at the 2024 Shriners Children's Hospital Charleston Classic Nov. 21, 22 and 24 at TD Arena in Charleston, S.C.
 
The full-eight team event also includes 2024 NCAA Tournament participant Drake, as well as Nevada, Oklahoma State and Vanderbilt. The Rams will play three games in all at the tournament.
 
The full bracket, including game times and ESPN platform designations will be released at a later date.
 
This will be VCU's second appearance at the prestigious Charleston Classic, which is in its 16th year. The Rams also played there in 2012 as part of a campaign that included a school-record 29 wins and an appearance in the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
 
The family-friendly event offers teams a week of practice, play, and experiences in and around historic Charleston. Information on travel packages, tickets and more are available at the Charleston Classic website. Tickets will be available for purchase following the announcement of the complete tournament schedule later this summer.
