Isaiah Kargbo-Owens (long jump) and
Jaiden Oglesby (high jump) opened their outdoor seasons with a bang, leaping to first-place finishes for VCU at the Dan Stimson Memorial Invite in Williamsburg.

JUMPS
- In the long jump Kargbo-Owens recorded a mark of 6.98 meters to top runner-up Brian Walsh of William & Mary by .14 meters
- Oglesby jumped 1.96 meters in the high jump on the way to a comfortable victory over the field
SPRINTS
- Kargbo-Owens also claimed a third-place finish in the 100
- Senior Chris White booked a new PR on the way to fourth in the 400 hurdles
- The Black and Gold came out on top in the 4x100 relay, finishing in 42.39 behind graduate Joel Bowers, freshman Jaeden Cassell, freshman Donovan Motley and freshman Isaiah Brightman
DISTANCE
Freshman Carter Smith ran 4:00.15 – a new personal-best, to place fifth in the 1,500 meter run
NEXT UP
VCU will travel back to Richmond to compete at the Fred Hardy Invitational March 22-23. Several Rams will also travel to Charlottesville, Va. for UVA's Virginia Open on March 23.
