The Short Story: VCU played its first road match of the season against West Virginia. In a tight-knit contest from start to finish, freshman Emma Rizzetto clinched the match on court five, giving the Rams their fourth point and ultimate victory, handing the Mountaineers their first loss of the season.

OPENING SERVE

  • Rizzetto also took part in clinching the doubles point for the Rams
  • VCU won the doubles point on courts one and two
  • Junior Yelizaveta Karlova and sophomore Emma Valletta won their fourth straight doubles matchup together. The freshmen pair of Tiziana Rossini and Rizzetto have also won four straight
