Julia Rienks shined for the second straight day as VCU powered past Saint Louis at the Stuart C. Siegel Center.

OPENING VOLLEY
- Rienks spiked 17 kills on the day and hit .423 on 26 attempts. She added five blocks and three digs defensively
- Junior outside hitter Kalina Pylinska added 13 kills, while hitting .250 on a team-high 32 attempts
- Sophomore libero Anja Kujundzic supplied 15 digs from the back row for the Black and Gold. She also registered three service aces
- Delaney Rice led the Billikens with 13 killsÂ
THE DIFFERENCE
- VCU hit .293 in the match and didn't dip below .250 in any of Saturday's three sets
- The Rams held Saint Louis to a .196 hitting percentage, due in large part due to a 46-37 edge in digs
- The Black and Gold served five aces and committed just two service errors
- Saint Louis fought off a set point in the first, but a kill by junior outside hitter Alicja Jaryszek and a hitting error by the Billikens handed the Rams a 26-24 win
- VCU hit .343 in the second frame. The Rams grabbed an early 5-2 lead and never trailed again
NOTABLE
- In three matches this week – all wins – Rienks averaged 5.70 kills per set and hit .402
- Graduate middle blocker Jasmine Knight moved into sixth place on VCU's all-time kills list during the weekend. She now has 1,127 career kills. She also ranks third all-time with 479 blocks
