The Short Story:Â Â VCU Men's Track and Field set several personal records at the Brent Tolsma Invitational. Junior

SPRINTS
- Several Rams set new personal records in the Men's 60m dash. In the prelims, Darius Reed led the way placing seventh running 7.00. Right behind him, freshman Jordan Davis, secured the last qualifying spot finishing eighth (7.01).
- Sophomore Aubrey Bryant finished 10 crossing the finish in 7.03 and Junior Marcus Wilson set a new personal record finishing in 7.22, placing 21.
- In the Men's 60m final, Reed reached a new PR finishing fifth (6.95). Davis would finish seventh (7.09).
- Freshman Chanan Mathis was VCU's top finisher in the Men's 200m dash. Mathis finished 10 (22.28), sophomore Winston Broiles (23.45) finished 28 and junior Paul Adelugba finished (23.84) 29.
- Mathis had a strong performance in the 400m finishing third (49.40). Mathis had the fastest freshman 400m in the A-10 Conference and seventh overall.
- Senior Freemon Lewis finished fifth (49.51) in the 400m and freshman Jude Okafor finished (52.01) 19.
DISTANCE
- In the 800m race freshman Jaiden Lockhart finished (1:59.55) 10.
- Freshman Curtis Boykin was VCU's lone runner in the 1000m race, Boykin finished (2:37.12) sixth.
- In the one-mile junior Kendall Phillips finished (4:20.03) eighth, right on his heels, freshman Carter Smith (4:20.14) finished ninth.
- Fellow freshman Jacob Barrow finished (4:23.84) 15 in the one-mile, Cole Dawson (4:25.75) finished 19 and Carson Echard finished (4:44.32) 25.
- Three Rams set new PRs in the 3000m, Freshman Jacob Barrow was VCU's top finisher (8:36.35) finished eighth, Dawson set his personal record (8:52.04) finishing 18 and junior Nahim Abdallah (8:57.19) 20, also set his new PR. Sophomore Hudson Barth (9:13.23) also finished 26.

JUMPS
- In the Men's high jump freshman Jaiden Oglesby jumped 2.03m finishing second and setting a new personal record.
- Junior, David Coles won the Men's Triple Jump event jumping 15.04m. Sophomore Phillip Daniel finished third with a 14.22m jump and freshman Isaiah-Taji Kargbo-Owens finished fourth, jumping 13.96m.
Hurdles
- Adelugba ran in the Men's 60m hurdles prelims finishing (9.47) 13.
Throws
- VCU took home silver and bronze in shot put behind junior John Casper's 15.57m and freshman Shinobu Hawk's 15.22m throw.
- Freshman Diego Turner (14.08m) and Devon Brooks (14.07m) finish ninth and 10.
- In the Weight Throw Casper threw 18.60m finishing fourth.
Relays
- In the 4 x 400 VCU's team of Chanan, Lewis, Okafor and Adelugba finished fourth.
