THE SHORT STORY: After going down early in the second half, VCU Men's Soccer used a pair of goals off corner kicks to comeback and takedown Loyola Chicago, getting their second Atlantic 10 win while remaining unbeaten in conference play.
"Proud of the guys for fighting and grinding out a really good away win in the A-10," said Head Coach

HOW IT HAPPENED
- In the eighth minute, the Rams got the match's first shot on goal, when Castillo forced a save by Rambler keeper Aidan Crawford
- The Ramblers would record the majority of the shots in the half, taking 15, but in a testament of the VCU back line, none of the shots were on target
- As the half drew to a close, Damian Gallegos ripped a 34th minute shot on goal
- After 45 minutes the Rams and Ramblers were scoreless as things heading into the break
- The Rams picked up where they left off with another shot on goal when Jonathan Kanagwa tested Loyola's Crawford in the 48th minute
- Loyola got the opening goal in the 50th minute when they converted a penalty kick after drawing a VCU penalty in the box
- The lead did not last long
- In the 56th minute, VCU earned a corner and Castillo strolled to the spot
- Once the whistle had blown, Castillo sent a beautiful ball to the near post where McLeod rose and sent it home with a header to make tie it up at 1-1
- Less than 10 minutes later the Rams pulled ahead for good
- Drawing yet another corner in the 64th minute, Rodriguez sent a nearly perfect ball to the far post where a charging Ndiaye met the pass with his head to smash home the go-ahead goal
- Ermini would then make a pair of saves in the 69th and 73rd minutes to keep it 2-1 in VCU's favor
- Following the strong defensive finish the Rams locked up their second conference win with the comeback 2-1 road victory.
