HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The two teams played an evenly matched first half with only three total shot attempts between the schools. VCU led the shot count 2-1 at halftime
• Northeastern scored first in the third quarter as Maria Armaganian had a chipped ball over the VCU defense and Mega got in behind and scored
• The Rams answered less than two minutes later in the 43^rd minute as Padgett was taken down in the circle. Snead stepped up to take the penalty stroke and beat the keeper to tie the game at 1-1
• Both teams pushed for a winner until Padgett received a pass in the circle from Rosenbrock before a half turn and shot to beat the goalkeeper
