The Short Story: Mathis Bondaz competed this week at ITA Fall Nationals on the west coast after qualifying for the tournament in October at ITA Regionals in Lynchburg.
Opening Serve:
- Bondaz came into the tournament with a 5.7 world tennis number (WTN)
- He fell in a close two sets in the opening round of play
- In singles this fall, Bondaz compiled a record of 5-3
- It was the second straight year that at least one player from VCU qualified for Fall Nationals
Results:
- Bondaz fell to Radu Papoe (Cornell) 3-6, 5-7
- Bondaz fell to Miguel Pena Perez (UGA) 6-1, 6-1 (consolation)
