- Lewis-Eutsey had a season-high 18 points along with four rebounds
- Sarah Te-Biasu had 13 points along with two assists
- Mykel Parham grabbed a team-high eight rebounds along with four points
- VCU shot just 34 percent from the floor while JMU shot 49 percent
- The Dukes outrebounded VCU 45-34 overall but the Rams had just seven turnovers to JMU's 12

HOW IT HAPPENED
- The first quarter was back-and-forth with VCU leading 9-7 with 6:29 left in the first quarter. The Dukes closed the quarter on a 15-3 run to take a 22-12 lead
- VCU opened the second quarter on a 9-4 run as a Natalia Tondi 3-pointer got the Rams within 26-21 with 6:26 left before halftime
- VCU got within five again at 33-28 on a Lewis-Eutsey layup but the Dukes went on a 10-2 run to lead 43-30 at the break
- The Rams hung around in the second half and despite trailing by as many as 18 points, VCU cut its deficit to 63-54 with 5:45 left in the fourth quarter on a Zoli Khalil jumper
- VCU was ultimately unable to complete the comeback and only got as close as nine points one more time in the final quarter
