Jasmine Knight registered a match-high 16 kills, and VCU's blocking corps dominated in a sweep of Davidson Tuesday.

OPENING VOLLEY
- Knight, who has hit her stride since the start of Atlantic 10 Conference play, was nearly unstoppable Tuesday. She hit .652 in the match on 23 attempts and booked eight blocks, including a pair of solos
- Graduate opposite MaKenzie Chambers provided five blocks and six kills to the VCU effort, while hitting .316
- VCU also received five blocks from redshirt junior middle Kylie Loftis and four from junior opposite Parker Hartzell
- Reigning A-10 Rookie of the Week Anja Kujundzic racked up 20 more digs as the Rams' libero. She leads the league in digs per set since the start of A-10 play at 6.20
- Isabel Drecker paced Davidson with 11 kills
THE DIFFERENCE
- VCU piled up 14 blocks in just three sets, including eight in the first frame alone. Davidson did not record a single block Tuesday
- The Rams also hit .278 in the match, their second-best mark of the year, and served up six aces
- VCU staved off back-to-back set points in the first and later picked up a hard-fought 27-25 victory on a pair consecutive double blocks by Loftis and Hartzell
- VCU jumped out to considerable leads in the second and third sets and never trailed in either stanza
NOTABLE
- The Rams have won five straight matches and maintained a share of first place in the A-10 with Tuesday's victory
- Knight has recorded exactly 16 kills in three consecutive matches. She is averaging 3.65 kills and 1.55 blocks, while hitting .454, in five conference contests this season
- VCU improved to 19-4 all-time against Davidson
